Filipino maid Analyn is a nanny, cook and a housekeeper too. She is now available for transfer.

She has been working for the same family since she first to work in Singapore in Nov 1995 - almost 8 years. She went home in Nov 99 after 4 years. She kept in touch with her employer and 4 months later, in Mar 00, her employer Irene asked her to return to work for her. (Analyn's replacement apparently did not work out.)

Analyn has graduated from a 2-year post secondary course - GRCO, or General Radio Communications Operator. Analyn is neat and tidy in appearance. She speaks English very well.

She from Leyte, which is around 24 hours by sea or by road. She is the youngest of 3 children. Her father, now retired, used to work on his own land growing rice and vegetables.

Her employer Irene's family consists of 4 persons, the parents and two children now 10 and 15 years old. They used to live in a two-storey house but are now living in an HDB apartment. As Madam is working, much is left to Analyn: cooking, cleaning, laundry and ironing.

Analyn is comfortable with children. The youngest of the two children in her case were 3 and 8 when first came to work for the family. Over the years Analyn has learnt how to cook Chinese, preparing such dishes a chicken rice, fried chicken, chicken curry, chicken soup, and fried chicken wings and drum stick. She know to steam fish, fry fish, fish curry, sweet and sour fish.

Analayn is personable and gentle, easy to like.

Update
Since this profile was prepared for Analyn in 2003, she has gone to work for Gail, an American expat with one child, a girl, now 9. Madam used to work at the University of Chicago until April 2010. Analyn was able to manage the housekeeping and take care of the child - who was only 3 when Analyn started working there.

In the last 7 years or so in Gail's employ, Analyn has learnt to prepare western dishes with the help of cook books. Analyn also prepares local favourites for her host family - curries, noodles, laksa, etc.

Analyn's host family will be going home sometime in August/September 2010. As the date approaches we will know more definitely when Analyn will be available for transfer.

When available: Late Aug/Early Sep 10
