My Filipino maid is always late. I like to have dinner at seven but no
matter how many times I tell her, dinner will not be ready until 7:15. To
give her a subtle hint, my husband and I would be seated ten minutes to
seven, looking bored and asking how long it was going to take.
She would be so busy and perhaps becomes even slower because she feels uncomfortable seeing us waiting somewhat impatiently at the table, ostensibly dying of hunger.
Fortunately she is never late in meeting my son's school bus. What can I do
to make her more punctual? |
